01 / Design: define the proposal
Design organizes spaces and develops the agreed documentation. Disciplines require coordination and a professional responsible for their analyses. The scope should identify the drawings, details and revisions included.
02 / Construction: execute the work
Execution belongs to the contractor or parties the client engages to build. Staffing, purchasing, methods and responsibilities should be defined in their agreements. A studio’s involvement in design or management does not automatically make it the builder.
03 / Management: coordinate information and decisions
Management can organize schedule, budget, changes, meetings and reports within its agreed scope. A useful tool is a decision log: issue, impact, owner, date and supporting record. Technical decisions and approvals retain their respective responsible parties.
04 / A case with distinct roles
For the private residence presented by ARCONIA, the studio provided plan design, renders and construction project management. The client built at their own expense. This distinction describes the actual contribution without attributing all execution to the studio.
